Joshua Jacobs has two passions: music and helping others. His love of music started back in elementary school when he started playing trumpet. It didn’t take long for Josh to purchase a Walkman and listen to his two favorite artists, The Killers and Fat Boy Slim, on repeat for hours on end. Still, Josh wasn’t what you would call a true music ‘enthusiast’ until the year 2008, when he attended Monster Massive in Los Angeles, and had his mind completely blown by the EDM scene. The rest, as they say, is history. Ever since, Josh has immersed himself in the musical world. Now an avid music blogger and attendee to every major music show he can afford to see, Josh hopes to spread his love of music and his voice to the rest of the world.

Let’s Talk About Sex, Baby

Alright, not to be redundant, but sex is so taboo… still! We live in a society that uses sexual arousal as a means to motivate consumption. It has become bastardized, I get that. But let’s forget about all of that for a second! What is sex? Sexual intercourse, for a lot of people (and most […]Read Post ›

Nonattachment vs Detached

Nonattachment and Detached. Seemingly similar words with completely different meanings. We will explore the story behind each word and how they relate to each other, while somehow still representing opposing philosophies. Not much fluff in this one, here we go! Nonattachment Lately it is almost a buzzword amongst the people between ages 18 and 35. […]Read Post ›

Conscious Problem-Solving

Advice is sought often but rarely followed. Why is that? Why do we continually ask for help without ever making the effort to follow through? Are we afraid to help ourselves, or do we even know that it is possible? The truth is, most people are not aware that they can and must become the solution […]Read Post ›

Dancing With the Shadow Self

All of us in some point in our lives have struggled with our ego. Sometimes it seems I have talked the subject of the ego to death, but I feel compelled once again to share some advice on how to ‘manage’ it, we will say. You see, you can never destroy the ego or completely […]Read Post ›

The Art of Flow

Flow. It’s such an indescribable word, for it describes the motion of everything. Our Universe is constantly in motion, as it is composed of purely energy. That energy condenses into physical matter, but only when we, as observers, focus our energy of thought upon it. For most of us, at least at this point in […]Read Post ›

Living an Authentic Life

Most ancient wisdom teaches us about ‘living an authentic life.’ What does that mean? How do we do it? Should we strictly follow religious teachings? The truth is, no one can tell you how to achieve authenticity. Rather, living an authentic life means you are able to listen to your heart, do what you feel […]Read Post ›

I Don’t Know You But I Love You

What a simple and fun phrase. And yet, this statement can become so meaningful when we look a little deeper. I first heard this line in 2012, when I had the pleasure of attending the incredible event: Lightning in a Bottle (LIB). You see, this was the year I was introduced to ‘festival culture’ and […]Read Post ›

Fare Thee Well

I don’t know that I could consider myself a “Dead Head,” since I’ve only really known who the Dead are since last year. My partner at the time is a huge Dead Head, and she would make her jewelry while listening to them for hours. At first, they sounded just like any other ‘classic rock’ […]Read Post ›

Bringing Burning Man Home

By now, most people in the United States (and beyond) have heard about Burning Man. A ‘Utopian’ city, some have called it; while others label it as rich folk parading their money floats and recreational vehicles in the desert. Whatever you want to describe it as, we know this much: it is a gathering of […]Read Post ›
