“There is always room at the top.”
-Daniel Webster
This week’s quote is short and sweet. Life can be discouraging sometimes, especially when you’ve worked hard to get where you’re at and still don’t seem to be making any progress. It’s important to always remember to never let life get you down, and to keep in mind your ultimate goal. If you are able to focus on this daily, not only will you reduce stress, but you will be motivated to work harder than you ever have. There’s no such thing as a ‘glass ceiling;’ sometimes you just have a glass obstacle to work your way around.
Every successful person in history has faced adversity and been forced to work harder to get to where they want to go. One of my favorite examples is Michael Jordan; the greatest basketball player to have ever played the game. When he was in high school, he tried out for his school’s team, and didn’t even make the cut. That summer he spent nearly every waking hour studying and practicing the game to improve his skills. He eventually did make the team, and went on to play at North Carolina University. He won a championship there and was drafted into the NBA. He didn’t win a championship his first year there… it took him quite a while to get a team built around him. Once he had that team; he earned his spot among the league’s best: winning 6 championships in 7 years.
Make sure to use MJ’s story and this quote to inspire you when life gets you down this week. If your goal is to get to the top of your company, top of your class, or the top of your sport- remember that there is always room at the top if you want it bad enough. Good luck this week readers!
I’ve been browsing online more than 3 hours today, but I never found any fascinating article like yours. It¡¦s pretty price enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content material as you did, the web shall be much more useful than ever before.
Wow, I’m very flattered at the compliment! Thank you very much for reading and make sure to check back each week for new quotes!
